Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how OmniClassify ("we," "our," or "us") collects, uses, and protects information when you use our mobile application ("App"). We are committed to protecting your privacy and ensuring transparency about our data practices.

1. Information We Collect

1.1 Information Stored Locally on Your Device

All of your data is stored locally on your device and never transmitted to our servers:

• Datasets: Images, labels, and metadata you import
• Models: Machine learning models you train or import
• DICOM Files: Medical imaging files you import
• Results: Inference results, training metrics, confusion matrices
• Settings: App preferences and configurations

This data is stored using CoreData and the iOS file system, accessible only on your device.

1.2 Information We May Access (But Don't Collect)

The App may request access to:

• Camera: For real-time image classification (permission requested when you use camera features)
• Photo Library: Not currently accessed, but may be requested in future versions
• Files: To import datasets, models, and DICOM files (via iOS document picker)
• Local Network: For DICOM device communication on your local network

Important: We do not collect, transmit, or store any images, videos, or files you access through these permissions. All processing occurs on your device.

1.3 Subscription Information

Subscription purchases are processed entirely by Apple through the App Store. We receive:

• Whether you have an active subscription (yes/no)
• Which subscription tier you have (weekly/monthly/yearly)
• Subscription status updates (for feature access control)

We do not receive:

• Your payment information
• Your Apple ID or email address
• Your billing address
• Transaction details

All payment information is handled by Apple and subject to Apple's Privacy Policy.

1.4 Optional Third-Party Services

HuggingFace Integration (Optional): If you choose to use HuggingFace to download datasets:

• You must provide your own HuggingFace access token
• Your token is stored locally on your device using iOS UserDefaults
• We do not have access to your HuggingFace account or token
• When you download datasets, requests are made directly from your device to HuggingFace
• Your use of HuggingFace is subject to their Privacy Policy

We do not collect or store any information about which datasets you download or your HuggingFace activity.

1.5 Analytics and Crash Reporting

Currently, OmniClassify does not use third-party analytics or crash reporting services. We do not collect usage statistics, crash reports, or device information.

If we add analytics in the future, we will update this Privacy Policy and provide opt-out options.

2. How We Use Information

Since we do not collect personal data, we have minimal information to use. The limited information we access is used solely to:

• Provide App functionality (processing your data on-device)
• Verify subscription status (to enable premium features)
• Improve App performance and fix bugs (using local error logs, if any)

3. Data Storage and Security

3.1 Local Storage

All your data is stored locally on your iOS device using:

• CoreData: For structured data (datasets, models, results)
• File System: For imported files, images, and DICOM files
• UserDefaults: For app settings and HuggingFace token (if provided)

This data is protected by iOS's built-in security features, including:

• App sandboxing (data is isolated to the App)
• iOS encryption at rest
• Secure file access permissions

3.2 No Cloud Storage

We do not operate any servers or cloud storage. Your data never leaves your device unless you:

• Explicitly export results (which you control)
• Download datasets from HuggingFace (which goes directly to your device)
• Share files through iOS sharing features (which you control)

4. Data Sharing and Disclosure

We do not share, sell, or disclose your data to third parties because:

• We don't collect your data
• All processing happens on your device
• We don't operate servers that could store your data

The only exception is if you choose to use HuggingFace, in which case your requests go directly from your device to HuggingFace (we are not involved in that communication).

5. Medical and Healthcare Data

Important points regarding medical data:

• All DICOM files and medical images are processed and stored locally on your device
• We do not access, transmit, or store any medical data
• You are responsible for securing your device and ensuring proper access controls
• If you are a healthcare provider, ensure your use complies with your organization's policies and applicable laws
• We recommend using device encryption, strong passcodes, and following your organization's mobile device management policies

6. Children's Privacy

OmniClassify is not intended for children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with information, please contact us so we can delete it.

7. Your Rights and Choices

7.1 Access and Control

Since your data is stored locally on your device, you have complete control:

• You can view, modify, or delete any data through the App
• You can uninstall the App to remove all App data (note: this may not delete files you imported from outside the App)
• You can manage your subscription through Apple's subscription management
• You can revoke camera or file access permissions in iOS Settings

7.2 Data Export and Deletion

You can:

• Export results in JSON, CSV, or PDF formats (premium feature)
• Delete datasets, models, or results through the App interface
• Remove the HuggingFace token from App settings
• Uninstall the App to remove all App-stored data

7.3 GDPR Rights (EU Users)

If you are in the European Union, you have additional rights under GDPR:

• Right to Access: Since data is on your device, you can access it directly
• Right to Rectification: You can modify data through the App
• Right to Erasure: You can delete data or uninstall the App
• Right to Data Portability: You can export your data (premium feature)
• Right to Object: You can stop using the App at any time

Since we don't collect personal data, most GDPR rights don't apply, but we respect your privacy and data control.

8. Third-Party Services

8.1 Apple App Store

Subscriptions are processed by Apple. Apple's Privacy Policy applies to:

• Payment processing
• Subscription management
• App Store analytics (if any)

8.2 HuggingFace

If you use HuggingFace integration, your interactions are subject to HuggingFace's Privacy Policy: https://huggingface.co/privacy

We are not responsible for HuggingFace's data practices.

9. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by:

• Posting the updated Privacy Policy on this page
• Updating the "Last Updated" date
• Providing notice through the App when possible

Your continued use of the App after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the updated Privacy Policy.

10. International Data Transfers

Since we do not collect or transmit your data, there are no international data transfers. All data remains on your device, which is under your control and subject to the laws of your jurisdiction.

11. Data Retention

Your data is retained on your device until you:

• Delete it through the App
• Uninstall the App (which removes App-stored data)
• Delete files manually from your device

We do not retain any data after you uninstall the App because we never had access to it.

12. Security Measures

While your data is stored locally and protected by iOS security, we recommend:

• Using a strong device passcode or Face ID/Touch ID
• Keeping your iOS device updated
• Using device encryption (enabled by default on modern iOS devices)
• Being cautious when sharing files or exporting results
• Securing your HuggingFace token if you use that feature
